We’re continually asked interesting and important questions about feeding tubes on our My MIC-KEY* Facebook page. To help share that knowledge and raise awareness of both unique and common issues, we’re featuring REAL questions asked by our subscribers. Check out the new question we’re featuring this month!
We get many unique questions on our My MIC-KEY* Facebook Page every day. From time-to-time, we’ll feature real questions asked by some of you and share the answers in an effort to help us all learn from each other.
This month, we’re featuring a question about bath time, asked by Mary D.
Question: Can you take a bath with a MIC-KEY* low profile tube and, if so, does it need to be covered?
Answer: Thanks for your question, Mary! Yes, it is generally possible to take a bath with a MIC-KEY* feeding tube as long as you have a healed and healthy stoma site. It does not need to be covered. That said, you should clear this request with your physician first, as every patient is different.
